Balinese Culture – Watching Traditional Balinese Dances

šŸ“ Batubulan Village, Bali

Watching traditional Balinese dances at Batubulan Village. Batubulan, taken from the words ā€˜Batuā€™ and ā€˜Bulanā€™, which means ā€˜moonā€™ and ā€˜stoneā€™, has been famous in Indonesia and all over the world for its spectacular Balinese dance performances of ā€˜Barongā€™, ā€˜Lenongā€™ and ā€˜Kecak Danceā€™. ā€˜Barongā€™ is a traditional story telling dance, caring our mythology. It demonstrates a story of fight between good and evil. You can watch ā€˜Barongā€™ from approximately 9AM, every day, on five different stages. ā€˜Kecakā€™ is performed every day from 8PM. Iā€™ve been watching the performances at ā€˜Sahadewaā€™ stage.
