Unfortunately, some of his famouse artworks are painted over, but you still find some everywhere around the city.

❸ – ENJOY green oasis of big city jungle

  • Parks: Ney York is made of glass and steal, but is also home to hundreds of square miles of green space, as well. The city has more than 1.700 parks scattered across the five boroughs. Visiting the parks is one of the greatest pastimes enjoyed by residents. New Yorker´s cherish their parks, like Riverside Park, Bryant Park, Bettery Park and others. The most popular one is Central Park, which is also the largest. Residents do sports, row on the lake, enjoy open-air theatre and concerts or just relax and have a picknick.
  • High Line: This old rail track was never meant to be a park. After it went out of use in 1980, it sat unused for decades. In early 2000´s the city startet to transform it into a unique park. 2009 the High Line opened as a hybrid public square with nature, art and design. The renovated track is now a (1,5 miles / 2,5 km long) walkway from Hudson Yards to Chelsea, lined with green space, pop-up food stalls, and sun loungers. When the sun’s out, there’s nothing quite like taking a walk on the High Line.

❹ – Explore Brooklyn

Right off the Island of Manhattan is Brooklyn, a cozy and trendy area that reports a huge incease in demand in recent years. Neighborhoods like Williamsburg, Greenpoint or DUMBO have changed drastically over the last few years and are continuing to evolve. Brooklyn is family oriented, it´s hip and it has driven a lot of people to move off the island. Brooklyn is booming.

Years ago, noone wanted to live here, if could live instead in Manhattan. But meanwhile more and more people finding the way to the other side of Manhattan Bridge, appreciating what Brookyn offers to its residents. With stunning views on NYC´s skyline, finger-licking-good restaurants, cute shops, boutiques and many fleas, as well as incredible street art, music events and countless activities.

It’s easy to understand why people are moving here. Further more this neighbourhoods offers beautiful parks, baseball fields and tennis courts, giving you a cozy, homey feel, so close to that crazy Big Apple life, but at the same time far enough to calm and relax, within a urban and open-minded community, surrounded by a creative, exhilarating  atmosphere allover the borough.

Kind of similar to Chinatown, visitig some of Brooklyn´s neighbourhoods (e.g. Sunset Park) is like entering another world. So if you cross the bridge to wander at the other side around Brooklyn, you´ll find Russian skin specialists practicing ancient remedies, people only speaking Yiddish or people who sport the clothes of the old country. Crazy, but great!
