The island “Krk”, which is also known as “The Golden Island”, is one of the oldest, largest and greenest islands of Croatia, as well as one of the most popular once. Located at north-west of the coast, close to “Rijeka”, in Centre of area which is called “Kvarner”, the island consists of multiple settlements.

The main town “Krk”, with its old town, is definitely worth visiting. Inside the city walls which dates back to 12. Century, you’ll find hidden treasures like the “St. Mary’s Cathedral” with its bell tower in baroque style or the old city hall. It’s not a huge town with lots of attractions, but the flair is pretty nice.
