Balinese Culture – Watching Traditional Balinese Dances

šŸ“ Batubulan Village, Bali

Watching traditional Balinese dances at Batubulan Village. Batubulan, taken from the words ā€˜Batu’ and ā€˜Bulan’, which means ā€˜moon’ and ā€˜stone’, has been famous in Indonesia and all over the world for its spectacular Balinese dance performances of ā€˜Barong’, ā€˜Lenong’ and ā€˜Kecak Dance’. ā€˜Barong’ is a traditional story telling dance, caring our mythology. It demonstrates a story of fight between good and evil. You can watch ā€˜Barong’ from approximately 9AM, every day, on five different stages. ā€˜Kecak’ is performed every day from 8PM. I’ve been watching the performances at ā€˜Sahadewa’ stage.
