Best time is around sunrise. To see the rice terrace at their greenest visit it in March, April, September or October, as this is when the rice is about to be harvested. Apart from that you can visit ‘Jatiluwih Rice Terraces’, which is away from the bustle, it’s quiet and more widely. Any case, make sure to take a bottle of water and some sunscreen or a hat with you. The sun is no joke at Tegallalang and you can get heat stroke pretty quickly.
